LETTERS TO THE EDITOR ➤ The 2013 Green Fleet Conference was Excellent I want to write and thank the team responsible for the Green Fleet Conference, which was held Oct. 1-2, 2013, at the Phoenix Convention Center. The Green Fleet Conference was the fnest experience I have ever had at a conference. Everything was extremely well organized. The ride-and-drive event was excellent, especially the added little touches, such as serving lemonade and snow cones, and offering test drives on Segways, which made it a very professionally rewarding and pleasant morning. I would also like to thank Bobit Business Media for extending the kindness of inviting "Exhibit Hall Only" badge holders, like me, to partake of the lunch buffet after the conference participants had fnished. I think that is the nicest thing that I have ever seen done or heard of happening at a conference. And, on top of that, the food was frst-rate quality, some of the best I have ever had at a conference, even the ones where I paid thousands of dollars to attend. I made many good contacts with the exhibitors at the Green Fleet Conference, and I look forward to further discussion with them. Next time, I hope to be able to arrange my schedule better to fully attend next year's conference. Steve Neil, President Service Sector Consulting Mesa, Ariz. with the "Green Spirit" of our community and feet managers. Your personal courtesy and assistance was deeply appreciated as I was getting flled in and fling in other participants. A stack of cards and a great deal of follow-through is now ahead. We were pleased to program the weather to coordinate with your conference and expo. Thanks again and hurry back. There were great networking and vendor resources available to further assist the City of Orlando's feet goals of reducing our carbon footprint. I proudly represent a municipality that is taking the lead in deploying vehicles utilizing alternative fuel, hybrid technologies, electrifcation, and expanding solar opportunities to become one of the most environmentally friendly cities in the Southeast. Articles in Green Fleet magazine have been instrumental with the implementation of emerging technologies. Daryl Greenlee, Fleet Manager City of Orlando, Fla. ➤ Made Some Good Contacts I thought the show was very well done and did a good job breaking up the monotony with the ride-and-drive and expo hours. Not to mention the bowling! We did make some very good contacts. Adrian Ratza, Marketing Manager Hino Trucks Novi, Mich.
