The more than 600 attendees had the opportunity to check out the 65-plus exhibitors in the 70,000-square-foot exhibit hall. A line formed for a chance to test Landi Renzo USA's Ford F-550 bi-fuel CNG. Conference organizers closed down an entire block in Phoenix to allow for alt-fuel test drives. The award-winning University of Michigan Solar Car Team displayed its latest solar-electric vehicle. Attendees had the opportunity to test their driving skills head-to-head and win prizes during the Ride and Drive's Segway races. Chevron's Delo Truck is an 80-foot interactive experience, which allows visitors to learn more about Chevron Lubricants and how Delo can add value to their businesses. Attendees queued up to take a spin in a Zenith Electric Passenger Van during the opening day's Ride and Drive. Adomani provides all-electric or hybrid conversions to feets, such as this converted Ford Ranger. Hyundai gave a glimpse of the alt-fuel future with its ix35 Fuel Cell vehicle. This 2014-MY Chevrolet Spark EV joined it's larger alt-fuel siblings on the exhibition hall foor. Hino displayed one of its 195h hybrid-electric cabover chassis, which has a 5L diesel-electric hybrid system and runs on B-20. The Greenkraft 1061 truck, a 60 GGE dedicated compressed natural gas truck, is currently being leased by Ryder. A Boulder Electric DV500 delivery van belonging to the City of Galveston, Texas, travels up to 100 miles on one charge and is freeway-capable up to 75 mph. NOVEMBER 2013 I AUTOMOTIVE FLEET 47
